I saw it all ; I saw them all, swaddled in sleep, surrounded by threadbare stillness whose silence rent every stilted soul asunder_ never willing to disband the sinew of reminiscences of a never_ been. This lingering miasma had been riding roughshod over sodden flesh_ collectively contorted, singly stranded. Yet, when all is said, how can I deny the serenity of a somnambulist? How can I not see the somber canopy, hung over them all, as an intimation of succor?
